A call for mutual aid was dispatched by Calhoun Control at 3:46 a.m. Saturday, February 25th, 2023 to help Gilmer County Fire Department with a fully engulfed building fire at Maxwell’s Auto Body on Route 5 East of Grantsville. Chief David Johnson of the Grantsville VFD stated that the structure was a complete loss with at least one vehicle, multiple costly tools and paint were lost to the fire.
Owner Danny Maxwell is a frequent Patron and friend of the Mom’s Place Too crown in Grantsville.
