Harrisville Business lost in an Early Morning Fire

The two photos, above and below were taken a minute apart according to the Harrisville Volunteer Fire Department.

A Social media post from the Harrisville VFD site said that at 1:12 a.m. on Sunday morning HVFD, EVFD, PVFD, RCAA and RCOES were alerted for a commercial structure fire (The Pizza House) on East Main Street in Harrisville. Engine 1 arrived on scene with heavy smoke showing from the eaves and gables. Shortly after arriving, fire broke through the roof and defensive operations began.

Mutual aid was received from Cairo, Smithville and Greenwood VFDs. Ritchie County Sheriff’s Department and the West Virginia State Fire Marshal will be handling the investigation.
