Henry A. Howes, 71 of Glenville, WV; (formerly of Sand Fork), departed this earthly life in the early morning hours of Monday, December 8, 2025 at the Glenville Health and Rehabilitation Center in Glenville, following an extended illness.
He was born March 26, 1954 in Grantsville, WV; son of the late Minnie Howes.
Henry was a member of the Glenville Lion’s Club and really enjoyed his time serving hotdogs and corndogs at the local carnival and Folk Festival. He was a Christian by faith and in his spare time enjoyed fishing, watching westerns on TV, taking walks, spending time with family and friends, and he loved his little sister, Gayle with all his heart.
Surviving are 5 siblings, Harold Cornell, John Cornell (Jessica), Johnny Howes, Jerry Dawson, and Gayle Lowther, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
Along with his mother (Minnie), Henry is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Howes, and a niece, Brittany Howes.
Henry’s request for cremation has been honored and a private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
