An overnight fire on High Street in Grantsville destroyed the former home of Lorentz “Box Car” Hamilton, a well known Attorney who passed in 2024. The two story dwelling, beside the First Baptist Church in Grantsville was observed by someone driving by as being on fire and called in to the 911 center 1:22 a.m.
The Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department is still on scene at 7:30 a.m.
