Arnoldsburg Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched by Calhoun Control at approximately 5 p.m. near the Gilmer County line on Route 33/119 near Bear Fork for a water rescue.

The Department volunteers were able to rescue 2 adults and a baby from a car that had been swept away in the flood water.

The Department reported that everyone was returned safely to the creek bank, where Minnie Hamilton EMS and Calhoun Law enforcement assisted.
