With the Fall Primary only 53 days away, there is a limited time to change your party affiliation. According to the WV State code §3-2-6 regarding to the Time of registration application before an election: (a) Voter registration before an election closes on the 21st day before the election or on the first day thereafter which is not a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday.
This means that the final day to change your voter registration will be Monday, October 21st, 2024 to be identified as your preferred party during the November 5th, 2024 General Election.
Below are screen shots of the very simple steps on the WV Secretary of State site for changing your party, or even registering to vote for the first time. It takes only a few minutes, can be done at home and makes sure your views are represented in your community.
