Kidd Facing Charges of Stalking and Harrassment

In a Complaint filed by Cpl. D.C. Moore of the West Virginia State Police, Gregory Allen Kidd of Newton, WV did on or about February 10th, 2024 in Calhoun County commit the offenses of Stalking and Harrassment. According to the victim, Gregory “Allen” Kidd started causing problems for the defendant in middle school and has since continued.

The victim stated that Kidd had made multiple different facebook accounts in an attempt to make contact with her, and was advised in 2018 to stop. The victim then again had to request for the defendant to stop contacting her in 2019 but he has not stopped. Within the last two weeks Gregory Allen Kidd made contact again, sending pictures of himself and professing his love for her and telling her that he was “ready to fight.” The victim is in fear of herself and of her family getting hurt by the defendant’s actions. Kidd has multiple charges for domestic violence in Roane County.

The defendant has engaged in a course of conduct directed at the victim causing her to fear for the safety of herself and others, causing her emotional distress, the course of conduct has been repeatedly occurring even after a polite request to cease from the victim. Due to the defendant’s history, the victim believes the defendants words of being ready to fight are a credible threat to her or her family. The defendant has met both the definition of harassment and stalking. This incident has been originated in Roane County where the defendant lives, and has been received in Calhoun County where the victim lives making it in the jurisdiction of the Calhoun County Court system.

Kidd is being held on $3,000 bond awaiting his trial.
