Meals are a struggle at the Johnson Homestead when I prepare food for David and I, my Mother with an ever changing pallet, my girls, their husbands and 6 grands who all drop in occasionally (which I love). I’m not the greatest cook, but nobody complains too much, especially since I’m cooking and cleaning the kitchen. But this meal last night was a worthy one to share! The flavor was much of a Salisbury steak vibe.
- 2 lbs. Lean Hamburger
- 1 medium sized onion
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup of bread crumbs
- 2 Tbs. Of Texas Roadhouse Gold Sauce
- 1 Tbs. Parsley
- 1 tablespoon garlic
- salt and pepper to taste
Mix ingredients together and press into patties. Fry patties 3-4 minutes on each side and place into the Crock pot.
In the bowl I mixed the burger in (less dishes to wash) I mixed 2 cans of Golden Cream of mushroom soup and 1 box of beef broth and poured over the patties.
Cook on high 3 hours, or low 6 hours and enjoy! I served mine with corn, boiled butter & parsley potatoes and biscuits. Yum! Submit your recipes too! @ talk2shari@gmail.com
