Lowell Batten, 85, of Big Springs, died Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Minnie Hamilton Health System, Grantsville.
He was born March 11, 1939, at Spencer, the son of the late Oral and Crochie Miller Batten.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita L. Batten; brothers, Chuck Batten and Eugene Batten.
Lowell was a truck driver and worked until he got sick.
He was a very strong man, a hard worker and loved life.
Lowell is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kimberly Batten of Grantsville; stepson, Autty Hamilton; grandchildren, Michael (Nikki) Batten, Jr., Tessa Leigh Batten both of Grantsville, April (Tim) Young of Ripley and Lisa (Josh) Kerr of Somerset, Ohio; one great granddaughter, Lillian Paige Batten; brother, Fred Batten of Washington State.
There will be visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2024, at John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer.
