Magnolia’s are at their Peak and so are American’s Tolerance of Giving Away Resources

Rev. Kevin Gillespie filled his regular appointment at the Burning Springs M. E. Church.

Spring continues to march along at Creston with colt’s foot, speedwell, jill over the ground, forsythia [yellow bells] all adding their color to the landscape.  Both Pat Shaw’s pink magnolia & Mary Shaw’s white magnolia are at their peaks & Julia Joyce’s faithful daffodils add their beauty to the Richardsonville Road.

Sally Haavik who lives in Duluth Minnesota called to advise that there was 3 feet snow on the ground and more inches was predicted for Sunday.  Her family formerly lived in Creston.

Rev. W. D. Stutler lead the memorial service for Emma Cooper that was held Sunday in the Herb Smith barn at the Calhoun County Park.  Emma, the widow of Lewis Dale “Windy” Cooper, passed away some while back.

The Creston area had wind [as did places elsewhere] and those living in the western suburbs lost their electric service and on Sunday there was still a tree on the electric lines at Burning Springs.  After the power loss on Friday night most of the rest of Creston lost telephone & internet service.  Since folks can read this the world wide webwas restored to Creston.

Linda Wright has started treatment for her cancer.

Columbia Gas or perhaps Trans Canada folks have been keeping a close watch on their 2 bcf/day [billion cubic foot] pipeline that crosses W. Va. 5 between Creston & Burning Springs.  A significant slip has now taken their road out but their is no obvious move where the line is located.  The company has several monitoring wells & out of state folks come to check.

There have been a significant number of “jeepers” checking out roads in the area.  Apparently, the state has plans to encourage such.  Jerry Bunner noted that they often stop there to fill their tummies.

Controversy continues over Dr. Fauci’s continued attempt to cover for the virus being made under his direction at the germ warfare lab in Wuhan China.  He likely has plenty of reason to fear.  New figures continue to come in on the bad impacts on youth being given a vaccine that they did not need.  Now, the new thing is that those who have taken the government vaccines may be prohibited from being blood donors.  Of course all this is scary stuff & the ruling junta now wants to have the WHO make all the rules for American citizens to obey.

Older folks may remember Enron, the firm that rented out the Lincoln bedroom from Bill & Hill and lots of taxpayer $$ was “invested” world wide in at least 700 ventures before bankruptcy but the company lawyer had his name on US currency so the hammer was not really dropped.  Way back when, the name was Belco & they drilled locally and the firm always was and still is an oil & gas company, now called EOG [Enron Oil & Gas].  Enron [EOG] has picked up 395,000 acres of Ohio Utica for under $1/2 billion and now plans to restart drilling.  Enron’s local holdings somehow missed out of being listed in the bankruptcy proceedings — imagine that.

“Our leaders” down at the Mouth of the Elk seem determined that the natural gas, oil & gas liquids produced here are not to be used here, that is no ethane crackers, no ammonia or urea plants

\]\\and no down the line chemical plants to generate wealth locally.  Of course, Toby Rice, the head honcho at EQT, is all for sending all the natural gas abroad and some legislative “leaders” seem to answer to him.  Now, it is reported that there is to be a substantial increase in the capacity of LNG [liquified natural gas] facilities in Texas.  Apparently, some of West Virginia’s ruling oligarchy like it that we continue to be an energy colony for others.  The big new met coal mine in Barbour County sends coal to fuel the Peoples Liberation army and navy.  America needs to be using the coking coal to make weapons to fight our enemies, not the other way around.

Fighting fossil fuels is a big business and obviously very lucrative for some.  It is a $4.5 billion/year venture with much of the funding from taxpayers who have no say.  The CO2 Coalition has out a new report titled “Challenging ‘net zero’ with Science”.  Those who make policy decisions might do well to read the report.  For certain if there is no carbon dioxide in the atmosphere plants cannot grow and there will, for certain, be famine. The 1883 eruption of Krakatoa in what is now Indonesia put so much dust in the atmosphere that the earth’s temperature was lowered so much that the next year there was a killing freeze in June in Creston that killed both the wheat and the corn.  Such is how famines happen.

Chris Rose, a real West Virginia coal miner, who intends to retire Broadway Joe so that Joe can spend more time with his new friends in Switzerland, attended the recent CPAP conference where former president Trump gave a great speech.  Not so long back Trump went to East Palestine Ohio where the EPA, by ordering a fire, created a terrible environmental disaster.

The price of local Pennsylvania grade crude rose to $77.16/bbl. with condensate, formerly called Appalachian light sweet, fetched $61/16/bbl. with Marcellus & Utica light bringing $68.16 & medium $77.16/bbl.  Y grade gas liquids from the fractionation plants is $31.753/bbl.  Henry Hub natural gas [in Louisiana] rose to $3.109/mmbtu while the DTI (Mother Hope system) price as $2.452 and the TCO (Columbia Gas system) price was $2.494/mmbtu [dekatherm].
