Marilyn Ann (Minnich) Dennison, 65 of Glenville, WV; departed this earthly life with her loving family by her side in the early evening hours of Monday, August 14, 2023 at her residence, following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born November 20, 1957 in Weston, WV; daughter of the late Jacob and Jessie (Bush) Minnich.
Marilyn is a graduate of Gilmer County High School, class of 1976. She has been a florist her entire life having been born into the floral industry. She is the co-owner/operator of Minnich’s Florist in Glenville and Grantsville, WV; and has been staple in her community for decades.
In her spare time, Marilyn enjoyed caring for her many dogs, staying active in her children local sports careers, spending time with family and friends, and spoiling her grandchildren.
She is a Methodist by faith and attended church at the Trinity United Methodist Church.
On June 26, 1976 Marilyn was united in marriage to the love of her life, Joseph “Joe” Dennison who survives at their Glenville home.
Surviving are 3 sons, David Dennison and wife Erica of Glenville, Jacob Dennison and wife Victoria of Parkersburg, and Samuel Dennison and wife Chelsie of Glenville, and 2 sisters, Ann Minnich of Glenville, and Linda Minnich of Charleston, WV.
Also surviving are 10 grandkids, Reidyn and Callen Dennison of Glenville, Rileigh and Kileigh Dennison of Parkersburg, Paige, Jadeyn, Matthew, and Parker Montgomery of Glenville, and Kaelynn and Garrett Moyers of Newberne, 1 niece, Jessica Minnich of Prince Frederick, MD; and a host of other wonderful family and friends.
Along with her parents, Marilyn is preceded in death by a sister, Edna Walton.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 11:00 AM; Saturday, August 19, 2023 with Rev. Mike Ford officiating. Burial will follow in the Stalnaker Cemetery in Glenville. Friends will be received from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM; Friday evening at the mortuary in Glenville.
