Marylyn Kate Metheney, was born on September 13, 2023, at Women and Children’s Hospital, Charleston, WV. She gained her wings on October 19, 2023. Marylyn is the daughter of Emily Metheney and Shanon Nelson of Chloe, WV.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her maternal grandparents Glenn and Vicki Metheney of Chloe, WV; great-grandparents Connie and Troxal Metheney of Chloe, WV; Eddie Cadle of Chloe, WV; Bessie Cadle of Clinton, Ohio; paternal grandparents Duck and Martha Nelson of Chloe, WV; siblings Kenlee and Karlee Nelson of Chloe, WV; aunts and uncles Parks Metheney of Orma, WV, Cody and Shelby Metheney of Chloe, WV, and Melissa Moore of Chloe, WV.
Marylyn is preceded in death by her brother Gabriel Farrell, Mary and Glenn Drake, and Arley and Mamie Metheney. Marylyn was loved by so many and brought so much joy in her 5 weeks on this Earth.
A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg, WV, on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., with Pastors Chris and Shawnna Stout officiating.
