A Criminal complaint was filed in the Magistrate Court of Calhoun County by Trooper Brian E. Young of the West Virginia State Police on October 11th, 2023. On that date at 1:00 p.m. Trooper Young received a dispatch from Calhoun County 911 in reference to a domestic situation in progress on East Little Kanawha Highway, Grantsville, WV. He then drove to the address and arrived within 5 minutes of the call and met with the accused, Justin Meadows, who was outside in a very agitated state ripping parts of his vehicle. The Trooper identified his residence and spoke with the victim.
Trooper Young took a recorded statement from the victim who stated that the accused had been arguing all day and became angry over a message on his phone. He began throwing things inside the apartment and yelling at which time she attempted to leave and walked down the road. The accused followed her and she returned. She stated that she was not touched by the accused but that she was scared for her safety.
A criminal background revealed that Justin Meadows had been twice previously of domestic battery. He had conviction dates of July 25, 2022 in Calhoun County and February 7, 2017 in Mason County. He was arrested from Domestic Assault 3rd Offense, and Domestic Battery 3rd Offense, and placed in WV Central Regional Jail with a $30,000 bond in case number 23M07F00040.
