Mud Slide causes issues on Route 7

The West Virginia Department of Highways made a quick clean up in the 1000 block of Route 7, across the river from the Grantsville Water Plant. Trees, rocks and mud had come down into the roadway, preventing one of Calhoun School’s buses from running that direction.

Overnight winds and rains likely caused the slide. Drivers are urged to use caution when traveling in the Route 7 stretch of highway, as well as other roads prone to rock slides.
