Shaina Connor Murphy, age 26, of Grantsville, WV was arrested October 20th and held on $3,000 bond at the WV Central Regional Jail. She has since been released.
Brian Young filed a complaint with Magistrate Lora Davis on October 20th, 2022 stating that on that date he had observed a black Ford Mustang driving south on WV 16 near Orma, WV without an inspection sticker and an expired registration. The driver of the vehicle, Timothy Tallhammer, was asked to provide his license, registration and insurance but could only provide his drivers license. He was asked to get out of the vehicle, at which time Shaina Murphy was seen to drop a clear plastic bag from her person. The officer retrieved the bag which contained a clear crystal like substance
Shaina Connor Murphy was placed under arrest. During this time the accused produced a second bag with crystal like substance which, when tested, proved to be Methamphetamine with an approved field test kit, along with a glass smoking pipe.
