On June 27th, 2025 Trooper Brian Young was called to the Minnie Hamilton Hospital in reference to a woman reporting that she found a piece of paper placed in her vehicle with an unknown substance inside of it. Trooper Young, along with
Sheriff G. Knight, arrived at the hospital and took control of the paper with the substance inside. The officers then opened the paper and observed a crystal like rock inside which tested positive as methamphetamine.
A statement was taken from the individual who found the paper before viewing the security camera footage. Review of the video showed a woman with red hair, wearing a floral multicolor dress, walk up to the vehicle passenger side of the vehicle before walking to the drivers side and placing a white object inside the vehicle drivers compartment before walking away.
The officers were able to identify the woman/the accused, as Sarah Roberts. They located the accused driving a Chevy SUV, the same that was driven from the hospital. She was wearing a multicolored dress, having red hair as seen in the video.
Sarah Elizabeth Roberts was questioned and placed under arrest for distribution of methamphetamine. She was transported to the WVSP Grantsville Detachment to be processed. She currently is being held in the WV Central Regional Jail on a bond of $25,000.
Sarah Elizabeth Roberts is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
