Bud was born on October 14, 1930, in Gilmer County, WV, to the late Ordie Lowther and Oleta Collins Lowther. He was a Korean War Veteran and a jack-of-all-trades. He enjoyed camping, crafting, classic country music, riding his Harley, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his brother, Bob Lowther (Pat), of Ohio; sister-in-law, Opal Lowther; and several nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lowther; two brothers, Coye Lowther (Pearl) and Cecil Lowther; three sisters, Ruth Lowther Meadows (Alva), Sylvia Lowther Meadows (Oris), and Joann Lowther Johnson Jenkins (Layne); six nephews, Danny Lowther, Jerry Lowther, Mike Meadows, Rick Meadows, David Meadows and Roger Meadows; three great-nephews, Shane Hacker, Dale Miller and David Miller; niece Kathy “Kitty” Lowther, and one very special niece, Patricia Nida (Wayne).
