Parade Marshalls Announced by Calhoun Christmas Committee

The Calhoun Christmas Committee is proud to announce the 2023 Musical Nights & Magical Lights Parade Marshalls are Donnie & Susan Pitts.

Donnie & Susan have three daughters, Erin, Ryann, & Laura. They have two wonderful grandchildren, Leah & Lauren.
Donnie & Susan enjoy church, volunteering, camping and seeing new places, and being with family & friends.

Susan graduated from Calhoun County High in 1968. After graduating from Glenville State in 1972, she taught from 1972 to 2005, first at Grantsville Grade, then Brooksville, and finally Calhoun County Middle High School. She serves on the Board of Directors and as a volunteer at Little Kanawha Valley Christian School. She is a member of Victory Baptist Church.

Donnie graduated from Calhoun County High in 1967 and from West Virginia Tech with the class of 1985. He taught at Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center for ten years beginning in 1978. He then served Calhoun County Board of Education from 1988-2008 and again 2010-2012. He currently serves as a deacon at Victory Baptist Church. He also serves on the boards of Minnie Hamilton Health Systems, Calhoun County Park and Little Kanawha Bus.

Donnie & Susan say: “Calhoun County has always been our home. We have seen what has been and now look forward to a bright future for our communities. We have been fortunate to have known some of the best people in the world. We believe there is no better place for us to live than Calhoun County.”

The Parade will be held in Grantsville on the evening of December 1, 2023 with activities throughout the day!
