A Wednesday afternoon drive for David Turner quickly turned serious when his Chihuahua mix dog “Peanut” attempted to jump out his open truck window. Turner’s vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a soda pop semi truck causing serious damage to both vehicles.
The semi driver was uninjured but Mr. Turner was “stoved and bruised” from the accident. He did not require an ambulance. Peanut was later taken to Veterinarian Dr. Dan Cain who reported that nothing was broken, but did provide pain medicine for the dog.
The Calhoun County Sheriff and Arnoldsburg VFD responded to the scene.
