Tomorrow morning, Tuesday May 10, West Virginia voters will begin filing into the polls across the state to narrow down the decisions for the General election this fall. The polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. with Ridgeview News Results posting live as the precincts come in.
The offices to be voted on will be:
- U.S. House (West Virginia lost one of its three U.S. House seats because of a 3.2% population decline)
- House of Delegates (the entire delegation is up for election. Republicans hold a 78-22 majority right now, and more than half the incumbents have no primary opposition).
- State Senate (Republicans hold a 23-11 majority and half of the 34 members are up for election)
- County Clerks
- County Commissioners
- Circuit Clerks
- Board of Education
