REAP and Cabot Recycling are Making our River Glisten!

Photos by Photographer Jerry Mann

REAP brought crews on Thursday, August 8th, 2024 to retrieve the tires collected through the work of Cabot Recycling Station volunteers. Eighty-eight tires were loaded and hauled away that were once cluttering the Little Kanawha River and pulled from the river and banks by hardworking volunteers.

Lisa Cooper, Director of the Cabot Station Recycling Center has requested volunteers once again to join them on Saturday August 10th as the river clean up continues. Boats and bodies are needed and appreciated to pull the tires from the river and continuing making Calhoun County Shine.

Photographer Jerry Mann has followed the efforts and captured their progress through wonderful images of the workers and the waters of Calhoun County.
