The October number of Republican registrations continues to show Calhoun County turning a deeper red as the Democrat Numbers decrease. While the Democrats continue to slam the Republicans for their failures on National decision making (and I can’t say that I entirely disagree) it doesn’t change the morality factor, nor does it change the fact that on a State and Local level, the Republicans are the most outspoken and active in the economic arenas while Democrats continue to beat their drums for abortion and other factors that go against Christian beliefs. Their support of a President whose son’s felonious and treasonous behaviors have made America an international joke that’s not the least bit funny, and our support of everyone except Israel has made the stomachs of Christians roll over and hopefully caused them to hit their knees to Almighty God in intercession for our Nation.
In my opinion (and it is opinion) the reason for Calhoun’s Red color has everything to do with Democrats in office being so out of touch with the community. Washington D.C. scares the daylights out of anyone with an ounce of sense. The last thing the citizens want to hear is how wonderful D.C. is and that there are actually people in political power in our own Community that either believe what D.C.’s peddling ( such as the state of the economy being wonderful) or they’re willingly lying to their neighbors. Either one does not increase security in a generation of instability.
Below is the comparison of parties in Calhoun County and how they’ve progressed over a one year period. The Democratic Party declined steadily each month as the Republican numbers rose.
Between 2010 and 2020, the fastest-growing states were mostly the red States such as Texas, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and South Carolina. During the pandemic, that trend accelerated, and once again, most of the big population-gaining states were governed by Republicans.
Why are these red states growing so rapidly? The short answer is that they are more pro-business. Why has there suddenly been an increase in the interest of the politics of Calhoun County? Because there are people who are attempting to increase business opportunities in Calhoun County and they’re not Democrat. Conservative news outlets (such as the Ridgeview) has brought attention to the poor management of the Government offices under Democratic rule, as well as the Calhoun Chronicle which once ran only Democrat and liberal ideology, but now gives all perspectives of views without allowing opinion to sway readers from the truth.
It is not only those seeking political offices or positions that have determined to change the narrative of Calhoun County. The Citizens now know that the truth is available and they’re making informed decisions based upon what they’re finding out.
Whether you are Democrat or a Republican, it is important to understand how your government officials are managing your money and affairs in the offices that they have been elected to and to hold them accountable.
I personally am a Republican because I hold to the conservative view points and values of the Republican Party. Republicans are not perfect, nor do they all fall into line with where I do on Christianity. By the same token, I do not believe that all Democrats have liberal values, but many have continued in the Democratic Party because of family tradition and the fact that there were fewer choices outside the Democrat party. But times have changed! And people are becoming aware that they do have options.
