RETURN OF THE LINCOLN DAY DINNER

The Calhoun County Republican Executive Committee is pleased to communicate we will be holding a

LINCOLN DAY DINNER

at the Calhoun County Park

Herb Smith Community Building on

Saturday, February 25, 2023

at 6:30 p.m.

The RETURN OF THE LINCOLN DAY DINNER is special to those of us who recall when this event was an annual activity during the month of February. It is a time to honor our history, heritage, and President Abraham Lincoln who supported the abolishment of slavery and was instrumental in ending the Civil War. If memory serves me correctly, the Democratic Party also held a Jackson/Jefferson Day Dinner during February. Some of you may remember when this was a part of our annual list of activities for each of the parties. The Grand Old Party (GOP) members of this county are excited to have this time together to socialize, share a meal, and hear distinguished guest speaker(s) who may be running for elected office(s) in the fall. The exquisite meal will be grilled and delivered to the Center. The MENU: Fileted Tuscan Steak, Baked Potato, Grilled Caesar Salad, Creme Brulte, Coffee, Tea, or Water. The cost of the meal is $28.00 a plate. However, it is less if a group purchases seats together at a table. The table will have 8 seats and the cost is $200.00 (or $25.00 / plate).

We plan to raffle a metal Fire Ring crafted by the talented welding team at the Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center. Tickets for the drawing to win this beautiful piece of equipment are $5.00 each or 5 tickets for $20.00. You need not be present to win.

If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or any member.

Every day best wishes,
