Richard Gene “Rick” Perkins, Jr., of Chloe, WV, passed away March 13, 2024, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born July 20, 1957, in Anchorage, Alaska, a son of Glenna Fulks Perkins, and the late Richard Gene Perkins, of Chloe, WV.
Rick leaves behind his love of 47 years, wife Sharlene Cottrell Perkins, son Jason (Renee) Perkins, daughters Jenni (Isaac) Uhl and Jessie (Moe) Riddel, and son Jake (Savannah) Perkins; grandchildren Maddy, Autumn, Asher, Adlee, Avy, Arbor, Anker, Rome Remedy, Raines, Paislee, Kase, Garrett, and Mandy; brother Randy (Kim) Perkins, sister Rita (Gary) Laughlin, sister-in-law Arlene (JK) Scott, and brother-in-law Stanley Cottrell.
Rick was a retired pipeliner; a member of Local 147 for 40+ years.
He loved hunting, fishing, and camping with his family.
Rick’s wishes for cremation have been honored and there will be no services.
