Roberts Held on $100,000 Bond for Failure to Pay Child Support

In a complaint filed in the Calhoun County Magistrate Court by Prosecuting Attorney Nigel Jeffries, on or about April 14th, 2023 in Calhoun County, Thomas J. Roberts did repeatedly fail to pay court ordered child support which he can reasonably provide and knows that he has a duty to provide by virtue of a court order. Roberts has failed to make a court ordered child support payment since February 26th, 2020 in Court case 89-C-83.

According to the complaint the Prosecuting Attorney Stated that Roberts failure to pay the court ordered child support is due to the accused’s willful and repeated failure to pay child support, now owing approximately $100,000 in arrearages of his current support obligations.

Roberts is being held in the WV Central Regional Jail awaiting trial, being held on a $100,000 cash or surety bond.

Mr. Roberts is innocent until proven guilty.
