Ronnie Zane Hanshaw Obituary

Ronnie Zane Hanshaw, 67, of Chloe, WV, passed away peacefully at his home on November 5, 2024. Born on October 26, 1957, Ronnie was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was known for his kind soul, his ability to talk to anyone, and his love for the outdoors. Ronnie spent his early years working at W.G. Dairy in Creston, Ohio, and later dedicated himself to serving the community at Chloe Auto and Hardware in Chloe, WV, where he was a trusted friend and hard worker.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby and Romie Hanshaw, his brother Rusty Hanshaw, and his sisters Gale Hanshaw and Jerry Metheney. His memory lives on through his devoted wife of 37 years, Becky Hanshaw, their sons, Josh Hanshaw (married to Kate) of South Charleston. WV and Zach Hanshaw of Homeworth, OH, as well as his siblings Bill Hanshaw of Spencer, WV, Diane Rucker of Ukiah, CA, Merelene Hooser of Millersburg, OH, Bob Hanshaw of Clay, WV, Debra Higgins of Waterloo, IN, Sheena Jarvis of Chloe, WV, and Larry Hanshaw Creston, OH.

A man who found joy in simple pleasures, Ronnie was happiest with his family, especially his grandchildren, Wyatt, Faith, Sydney, Atlas, and Maeva, who brought him endless pride. Known for his love of shooting and target practice with his sons, Ronnie was a skilled marksman. He cherished the time he spent in nature, whether hunting in the woods or fishing.

In keeping with his wishes, Ronnie will be cremated. No services will be held, but a celebration of his life will take place at a later time. His family and friends will remember him for his warmth, resilience, and unwavering love. His legacy will live on in those who were blessed to know him, carrying forward his memory with love and gratitude.
