Rosetta “Connie” (Wheeler) Toppings, 79, of White Pine Rd., Grantsville, WV, gained her wings on January 28, 2025, at CAMC-General, Charleston, WV.
She was born May 24, 1945, in Oshkosh, WI, a daughter of the late Alvin and Joyce Alverson Wheeler. She was a homemaker, wife, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend to so many. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, baking, canning, spending time with her family and friends and caring for her dogs that she loved very much.
She is survived by her loving family, Wayne (Sharon) Toppings, David (Nancy) Toppings, Tim (Connie) Toppings, Debbie (Mike) Yeager, and Frank (Nikki) Jones; her siblings Orvie Wheeler, Sammy Wheeler, Dana Wheeler, and Roger Wheeler; grandkids Sandra (Millard) Mullins, Crystal (David) Endicott, April (Dale) Elliot, Danyelle Toppings, Devon (Leanna) Toppings, Triea Sadaga, Trevie Gregory, Phillip (Becky) Keener, Chris (Shayna) Keener, Leon (Delta) Kerby, Trinity. (Mycheal) Edgell, and Alyssa Yeager (Dayton Grogg); great-grandkids Anthony and Emily Mullins, Samantha Endicott, Dorieanna and JC Elliot, Natalie Toppings, Colton Edgell, and two little guys who loved “Maw”, Kason and Waylon Kerby.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Daniel B. Toppings (Coonhunter), son Danny R. Toppings (Snoop), brothers Bobby Wheeler, Buddy Wheeler, and sister Joyce Chandler.
A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., 107 Market St., Grantsville, WV, on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Tim Davis officiating.
