THE ARMORY IN SPENCER, WV
Sponsored by Groves Auto Service and Twister’s Garage , Dedicated to Sharon Hudkins, aka. Hellcat Mamaw, Director: The Boss Lady JC, Ring Announcer: Vince Riviera, Referees: Smartie Marks and Mike Luckey, Preshow Bout: Aaron Graves defeats Tyler Grayson –
After an intense offense from Grayson at the start of the match, both competitors bruised each other with a flurry of back-and-forth knife edge chops. Graves pulled Referee Mike Luckey into the line of fire, and Grayson accidentally struck him. Grayson wasted no time in nailing Graves with a huge running knee and his signature 450, but Luckey was still recovering from the strike and could not make the three count. As Grayson checked on Luckey, Graves struck him in the groin, following up with a rolling Death Valley bomb for the win.
Introduction: The Boss Lady dedicated the evening to Sharon Hudkins, aka. Hellcat Mamaw, one of Rt33W’s fans who recently passed away.
She then invited “The Snacc That Smiles Bacc” Gorgeous Morgan Taylor to the ring, who made an ardent apology to the fans, his fellow wrestlers, and the Boss Lady for his past mistakes. He then offered the Boss Lady cupcakes from Backwood Ramblings as a birthday gift, insisting, “Everyone deserves a second chance.”
Current Open Weight Champion, “The Mór of Irish Strong Style” Riley Rose made an appearance, and challenged Taylor to prove his trustworthiness and good sportsmanship in the ring later that night; should Taylor win clean, Rose would give him a shot at the Open Weight Title in May. Taylor “humbly” accepted.
Hero Napier defeats John D Crazy Hillbilly –
John D was extremely hesitant to stand across the ring from Napier, and after several minutes of hiding behind Referee Smartie Marks, the match began. After hitting Napier with a firm scoop slam, John D missed his signature big boot, and Napier capitalized with a sharp right hook. Napier then slammed John D to the mat with a massive uranage, and ended the bout with a colossal senton.
Napier grabbed a metal chain and was about to strike John D after the match, but Dragonmeister ran to defend him, and Napier returned to the back.
AJ Alexander defeats Sinborn and Chief Thunderbear –
Sinborn tempted the honorable Chief to “prove his wrath” using a steel chair the former had dropped at his feet. As Thunderbear raised the weapon, Sinborn dodged just in time for Alexander to hit the chair – and consequently, Thunderbear – with a stiff running knee, effectively taking him out of the fight. Sinborn and Alexander then traded a flurry strikes, but Alexander ultimately overpowered Sinborn with a running knee and a stiff spinning back kick for the pinfall.
“Mr. By-the-Book” Gaston LaRue defeats “Mr. 5-Star” Gary Gandy via DQ –
This bout showcased the technical wrestling skills of both men. Both competitors showed impressive grappling and submission techniques, but did not hesitate to bring out the big guns, with LaRue hitting his signature tornado DDT, and Gandy nailing an impressive 5-star frog splash from the top rope. Ultimately, it was LaRue that caught Gandy in an excruciating lion tamer. Gandy tried to escape the hold, but was unsuccessful. Just as Gandy appeared to prepare to submit, Aaron Graves ran to the ring and attacked LaRue, breaking up the submission, resulting in a disqualification for Gandy.
LaRue and Graves brawled, with Referee Smartie Marks struggling to get them under control. The Mountain King came to assist, and with the support of Gandy, the three were able to separate LaRue and Graves.
As Graves made his way towards the entrance, The Boss Lady suspended him until July. This incensed Graves, who then grabbed a birthday cupcake from the table and smashed it in her face. The Mountain King and Morgan Taylor, who was standing nearby, immediately came to her aid and escorted Graves to the back. Gandy attempted to apologize for his protégé’s behavior, but the Boss Lady brushed him off, and sent the event into intermission, so she could clean up.
Sarah Bubbles defeats “The Show Pony” Reese Ramone –
While Ramone spent the early portion of this bout trying to convince Referee Mike Luckey her opponent was cheating, Bubbles dominated with a stiff shoulder block and a big scoop slam. Ramone returned the favor in kind, choking Bubbles with her foot in the corner and on the ropes. Ramone attempted to use her majorette’s baton to strike Bubbles, but Luckey stopped her. As Luckey placed the would-be weapon on the apron, Bubbles pushed Ramone in to the ropes, and hit her with a devastating X-Factor for the victory.
Rt33W Tag Team Championship Match: Dragonmeister (Jagermeister and “Dragonheart” Jim Finley (c) retain against Creature Feature (Snakebite and Beefcake) –
Creature Feature took advantage of the absence of the Grimy Scots, ganging up on both Jagermeister and Finley. Snakebite tormented both Finley and Jager with a wide variety of submissions, while Beefcake pulled out all the stops with big slams and spears. Finley managed to nail Snakebite with a devastating backbreaker. Jager attempted a Jagerbomb on Beefcake, but Snakebite interfered, targeting Jager’s already injured leg and allowing her partner to set Jager up for his signature chokeslam. Jager fought back, and finally managed to pull off his explosive Jagerbomb for the finish.
Hero Napier once again appeared ringside with their chain, but then backed down, assuring the tag champs that “It’s not quite time yet.”
Main Event: “The Mór of Irish Strong Style” Riley Rose defeats “The Snacc That Smiles Back” Gorgeous Morgan Taylor –
While Rose made it abundantly clear he did not trust his opponent, even refusing to shake hands at the start of the match, Taylor surprisingly lived up to his promise to be a better sport, fighting clean throughout the entire bout. As Rose lifted Taylor to his shoulders for a big driver, Taylor slipped off and pushed Rose away, accidentally causing Rose and Referee Mike Luckey to collide. Taylor apologized and attempted to remedy the situation, until he spotted the Rt33W Open Weight Title on the ring apron. He picked it up, considering using it against Rose, but ultimately tossed it down, saying, “No! I’m not that person anymore!” He turned just in time to catch a swift kick from the champion, who then put an exclamation point on the bout with an enormous Dublin Driver.
After Rose’s hand was lifted in victory, he finally accepted a handshake from Taylor.
