Shelter’s Being Made Available if Needed in Calhoun

According to Calhoun 911, Calhoun County has shelters in place for anyone who may be displaced by flooding, should the need arise in Calhoun this weekend.

Calhoun FRN in Grantsville is prepared at their Drop in Center when requested. The Arnoldsburg Community Building will also be made available when requested.

According to the Calhoun County Commission who have been in contact with Emergency Services in Calhoun County, anyone displaced can call Calhoun Control at (304)354-9271, to determine the best placement for shelter.

Roane County OEM Director has also informed Calhoun that the old Spencer Middle School is available for their citizens who may be displaced due to flooding.

The National Weather service still has a flood watch in effect for Calhoun and much of the West Virginia region through Sunday evening.
