Stephen Joe Miller, 81, of Mikes Run Road, Normantown, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
He was born January 26, 1944, in Shock, WV, a son of the late Earl V Miller and Pina (Bishop) Miller.
Joe loved to hunt and could be found anywhere riding his 4-wheeler looking for the perfect place to shoot squirrels. One of his favorite things to do was deer hunt every Thanksgiving with his wife, son, nieces and nephews .He was an Army Vietnam War veteran where he served his country proudly.
He was married to the love of his life, Patricia Lou (Harris)Miller for 57 years. He was a member of the Rush Run Baptist church where he served as a teacher and a deacon for many years. He worked in the timber industry all his life and retired from there.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Lou Miller and his son, Wyatt “Eric” Miller and a special niece, Elaine Boston of Harrisville, WV, whom he loved and thought of as a daughter. Also surviving are two brothers, John Miller and Rex Miller of Shock WV. One brother-in-law; Sam Harris of Elyria, Ohio, one sister-in-law; Conna (Harris) Jones of Mineral Wells, WV and several nieces and nephews that love him dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Ancel, Jack and Dave Miller and one sister Racheal Wolfe.
