Sunday Morning Fatality in Arnoldsburg

Arnoldsburg Volunteer Fire Department and the West Virginia State Police responded to a Sunday morning fatality in Arnoldsburg, WV in the area of Calhoun Banks around 9 a.m.

Ryan Shrader, the victim’s son, informed Ridgeview News that his father, Allen Schrader, age 56, suffered a “medical episode” causing the loss of control of his vehicle. Allen Schrader was from Mineral Wells and graduated from Parkersburg South High School in 1986.

CALHOUN COUNTY, W. Va. (WSAZ) – A man died in a single vehicle rollover crash on US Route 33/119 and Arnoldsburg Road, according to West Virginia State Police.

The crash happened on Sunday, Nov. 24.

State Police reported that the driver, Allen Schrader, 56, of Fleming, Ohio was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Upon reviewing the surveillance camera system, WVSP said the vehicle traveled westbound out of the parking lot and hit a telephone pole before overturning.

The victim will be sent to the WVOCME to determine the cause of death.
