If you’ve never been a part of a festival committee, I can tell you flat footed and eye to eye, you’re missing one of the greatest, most exhausting, under-appreciated, fun filled, aggravating times of your life. That truly is it in a nutshell. There are days you love the life of helping out in the community, and many days you wonder why on earth you abuse yourself in such a way.

This is the 2025 Wood Festival Week and the number of volunteers to put on such an event is not many, but they are mighty. They have planned the event for 12 months, and this is there time to shine! Granted, much of the glimmer will come from summer sweat, but some of it should come from the gratitude of those who attend the event.
