The Paint the Town Project continued on Main Street Thanksgiving Day with the West Virginia State Police building being the latest to receive a fresh coat of paint and a new appearance in town. The final piece of the tarnished gold metal on the upper half of the old bank building is now a beautiful shade of green and will add another piece to the improved atmosphere in the Town of Grantsville.
Crystal Mersh, President of The 1982 Foundation told Ridgeview this week that the prototype lamppost has been shipped and is making its way from Texas. The Christmas Committee and The 1982 Foundation volunteers have been working on decorating the town and preparing for the upcoming Christmas Parade and Hallmark Christmas event in town.
The State Farm building received a few more finishing touches on their building this week with the State Farm name added and more trim work.
