Mermaid night was another huge success for the young entrepreneurial lifeguards at the Saundra Johnson Aquatic Center. The local pool was filled with not only wanna be mermaids but “wanna be cool” folks who were utilizing the facility to cool down from the high temperatures and humid conditions.
The Lifeguards didn’t know when they signed on to safeguard the waters of the Aquatic Center that they’d be trained in how to safeguard their future with marketing and business training. Those opportunities have lead to the successful planning and attendance at the evening family events. Those attending experience memory making fun for not just the children, but the adults who enjoy the pool and hear the laughter and joy of this community jewel.
