Trooper J.D. Richards, of the West Virginia State Police, was in a high speed pursuit earlier tonight with a woman, in the process of an overdose, driving a white Dodge Truck. She refused to stop when Trooper Richards engaged his lights and a chase ensued from the mouth of Crummies Creek Road to Par Mar’s Convenience Store in Arnoldsburg and then back to Crummies Creek.
When finally getting her stopped, Trooper Richards transported her in his cruiser to Minnie Hamilton Health Systems Emergency Room for treatment, likely saving her life.
This is a developing story.
UPDATE: She was transferred by ground crew to another hospital for further treatment. Health Net was called but cancelled due to fog in the area.
