Live video feed available on Ridgeview Facebook

In attendance: Tony Arthur, Allen Dawson, Anita West, Cheryl Sturm, Bob Petrovsky, Emilee Morgan, Rissa Staples, Melissa Keener, Linda Staton, Courtney Alexander, Ari White and Jason Firestine

The O&M Committee gathered to discuss the WV PSC site O&M agreement which had somehow been sent to the West Virginia Pubic Service District with multiple unapproved changes, making it void. Anita West, former Mt. Zion Public Service District board member, attended the meeting to set straight the accusations from the previous meeting, where it was said that she had sent the incorrect version of the O&M Agreement to the WVPSC.

The entire board after some discussion agreed that they had collectively been in error in the assumption of Ms. West’s part in it, and apologized.

Mt. Zion Board member Ari White stated that it was clearly an error done while it was in the possession of the Mt.  Zion PSD and they would take responsibility for it.

At the end of the meeting Ridgeview News asked the Committee what had transpired from a meeting that the City and PSD’s had with HOPE. HOPE, who is known best in this area for being a gas utility service, also owns water companies in the Western United States. They approached the local water companies to discuss their consideration of purchasing Calhoun’s three water entities. Although no formal conversation of purchase occurred, it is under consideration and throws and interesting new cog into the mechanics of the water system. Ridgeview News will reach out to HOPE on Monday for a statement.
