Four Candidates have Filed for Office

Candidates have begun filing for 2022 Primary Election in the office of Calhoun County Clerk. Jean Simers confirmed this morning that the following candidates have filed for office: Horst Motz/Sheridan District/Board of Education Dale Cunningham/Conservation District Supervisor Michelle Sears/Democrat/Center District/Calhoun County Commission Sheila Garretson/Democrat/Center District/Calhoun Circuit Clerk

Remele Sentenced in Calhoun

Christopher Lee Remele was sentenced to six months in the regional jail upon his conviction for possession of a controlled substance. Mr. Remele was originally sentenced to a term of probation. Subsequently, Mr. Remele was found to have violated the terms and conditions of said probation and the instant sentence was imposed. 

Late Sunday Night Accident Injures One with Monday Morning Removal from Scene
