The Calhoun County Wood Festival will be having their Queen Flora Pageant and Wood Festival Pageants on Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15 at the Calhoun County High School Auditorium beginning at 6:00pm each night.
On May 14th the following pageants will be held. The Queen Flora Pageant, Little Miss Calhoun and Jr. Miss Calhoun. Queen Flora is open only to 11th grade students that reside in Calhoun County and is enrolled in a Calhoun County School. The Little Miss Wood Festival is open state wide to girls ages 4-6 years old. The Jr. Miss Wood Festival is open state wide to girls 7-9 years of age. On May 15th the Miss Wood Festival, PreTeen and Teen Pageants will be held. These pageants are open statewide. Miss Wood Festival is open to girls 16-21 years, PreTeen is for girls 10-12 years and Teen is open to girls 13-15 years. Again, applications are due May 1st. Patty will be at the Calhoun Middle High school on Thursday evening from 4:00-5:00pm to pick up applications or to answer any questions. She will meet in front of the high school at the picnic tables.
Watch for contestant lists and more information once the entries are in. We would love to have a big crowd. We would also love to have past Queen Floras to attend and be recognized.
