Wood Festival Continues with a Full day of Fun & Entertainment

The 61st Calhoun County Wood Festival wraps up today with a full day of fun and entertainment, with fire works at evening’s end to finish out the event.

Today’s parade that is set to kick off at 11:30 a.m. is said to be the largest Wood Festival Parade with approximately 39 entries! The schedule of events below will keep us busy today. Stay tuned Ridgeview Facebook today for music and more that will be posted live on the Facebook page.

  • 7:00 a.m. – Registration for 5K and Kids Run.
  • 8:00 a.m. – Noon   Pancake & Sausage Breakfast at Lions Club Building
  • 8:30 a.m. – Calhoun County Wood Festival 5K and Kids Run (Sponsored by Grantsville Foodland)
  • 10:00 – Line-up for Parade at Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department
  • 11:30 – Calhoun County Wood Festival Grand Parade, Jack and Melva Stull, Parade Marshals
  • Following Parade – Kid’s Day Activities sponsored by First Baptist Church
  • 12:00 noon – registration for Car Show (Court Street, near Rainbow Hotel Lot)
  • 1:00 p.m. Calhoun County Wood Festival Car Show.
  • 2:00 p.m. Cornhole Tournament (near CCCOA) 
  • 2:30 p.m. – Local Entertainment on Main Stage (to be announced)
  • 5:00 p.m. – John & Johnny    (John Richards and Johnny Staats)
  • 6:30 p.m. – Dangerfield, Roger & Dave Bush, Rick Poling & Harry Beal
  • 9:00 p.m. – Sounds of Summer, Beach Boys Tribute
  • 11:00 p.m. – Grand Fireworks Display sponsored by Calhoun Banks.
