WV MOLASSES FESTIVAL RULES – DEPARTMENT 3 –

QUILTS

RULES:

1. Quilts must be clean; spots will disqualify them from judging (Except for the Antique Quilts)

2. Quilts must have been completed in the last five (5) years.

3. If the quilt has previously been entered in the Molasses Festival, it will be used for display only and WILL NOT BE JUDGED

4. To be judged, the quilt must fit in a class.

5. If your entry quilt is for sale – put a price on your entry form. We will make contact but handle no money.

6. Quilt tops will be for display only

7. Quilts must be brought in on Tuesday from 11am to 7pm and left until Sunday. Please pick them up between 1pm and 2pm on Sunday. The West Fork Community Action/ Molasses Festival Committee WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE for quilts that are left.

8. There will be cash prizes for 1st place winners per class. Special awards will be:

a. “Best Of Show”

b. “Queens Choice”

c. “Judges Choice”

9. WFCA will take every precaution for safekeeping of exhibits after their arrival and arrangement in the building but will not be responsible for any damage or loss that may occur.

Department 3-Section B through G Rules:

1. Exhibits must be a finished product and must have been made during the year by the exhibitor.

2. Exhibits must not have been placed in a previous Molasses Festival Exhibition. Items previously entered will not be judged.

3. Exhibits must be clean and have no tears or lost parts.

4. Exhibits must not have broken or mended parts.

5. Exhibits containing liquids must be in a leakproofcontainer.
