They grew up in a different era, when a woman “knew” her place
When husbands worked, and children played and families still said grace.
A woman’s place, might be at work, or it might be a home
But for certain they were central to everything going on.
Our Father’s role was to protect, our Momma’s role to care
And together they made a family and we were privileged to be there.
Times were not as perfect as we like to reminisce
But because everybody filled their place, nobody was ever missed.
. I’m glad I grew up in a time when life was simple and sweet.
And I’m glad when they pass from our arms, their Savior they do meet.
Because He taught them who they were, and how to provide and care
When everyone was in their place, Because the Lord was in His there
My Aunt Becky Hardway passed into the arms of Jesus yesterday. I’m grateful that God placed me with the people He did. Please pray for her sons, Philip “Duke” Hardway and Wayne “Pokey” Hardway. Two of the best cousins ever.
