Amy Nicholas, TIS/Math Coach, Calhoun Middle/High School

Within each of their math classes, 6th through 8th grade students competed for percent progress and percent growth, in an ALEKS (Assessment and Learning in Knowledge Spaces)mathematics challenge, first semester, at Calhoun Middle/High School. ALEKS is a web-based mathematics learning program that meets students where they are individually, using artificially intelligence, and fills in skill gaps as well as challenges them with mathematical concepts.
