Shortly after midnight on Friday, September 8th the Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to the scene of a single car accident. Calhoun Control said that the call came in saying “there was a car on it’s top” in the area of Philips Run. Trooper Josh Richards of the West Virginia State Police believed that the accident had gone unreported for some time and that Darrin Parsons, the driver, was very lucky he was not severely injured or worse.

Trooper Richards is continuing his investigation into the incident. Westfall’s wrecker service removed the vehicle from the scene.
