Lupardus Kicks off His Run for Calhoun Commissioner

All 2024 Political Candidates are welcome to submit one (1) to Letter of announcement to the Ridgeview News for Free publication.

Eric Lupardus is a businessman who uses his platform to give back to his community on many levels! He has strong Christian values in which he will protect those values as a commissioner. Husband to Brandy and father to two daughters Jayden and Kamri that are the light of his life.

Eric is not afraid to represent the people, he has proven more than once to stand up for the citizens on important issues. He understands his number one responsibility is for the safety of the citizens of Calhoun and that is why he will create a County wide board to design an emergency evacuation and shelter in place plan for the entire county. It doesn’t stop there, our EMS, fire departments and sheriff’s office must have the proper funding and support to save lives. Eric will not stop until he can successfully ensure our county is protected to its fullest.

As a struggling business owner himself in today’s economy and having faced covid head on and employee shortages he truly understands the pressures small business face locally and that is why he is determined to bring in help to ensure our small businesses keep their doors open and provide jobs and opportunities for the citizens of Calhoun County. “Small business is the lifeline to our success or failure”. He will seek emergency small business funding and microloan opportunities that help from natural disaster relief to employee hiring programs through the state.

A passion for establishing infrastructure county-wide has led him to the state Capitol several times already. During his trips to meet with our states leaders it was discovered that Calhoun has had the opportunity for years to begin water expansion projects but failed to submit the proper paperwork to the state. Eric said “It was disappointing to learn that our local leaders have not even reached out to state officials when funding has been available on different occasions.” This type of leadership is unacceptable to him and his straight forward style. Eric went on to say “Water is our basic necessity, why has this been a political promise for years with no follow-up from those who have campaigned on those promises? We are fortunate Commissioner Arthur has dedicated his time to travel to Charleston and take part in the discussions, progress is being made and I am glad to be a part of it.”

Eric is ready and willing to be your voice and represent this county that he loves so much! When asked why he is running “Our citizens are the greatest this country has to offer and you will never change my mind on that”. He has reached across the isles in hopes to bring unity and equal representation to the citizens of Calhoun County.
