Madeline Alice Dawson, 94, of Grantsville, WV, passed away on January 7, 2024, at the home of her grandson.
She was born at Munday, WV, on December 2, 1929, a daughter of the late Harley and Julia Jones Sidwell.
She was a faithful member of Brooksville United Methodist Church and later Knotts Memorial Church of Grantsville.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Cecil “Jack” Dawson, daughter Patty Wilmoth, son Richard Dawson, sister Alma Stoops, two infant sisters,and brothers Earnest and Willie Sidwell.
Surviving are four grandchildren James and Steve Wilmoth and Ryan and Sierra Dawson, eight great-grandchildren, and brother Boyd Sidwell of Coolville, Ohio.
A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, inc., Grantsville, WV, on Friday, January 12, 2024, at 6 p.m., with Pastor Tim Davis officiating.
