Donna Hickman LaGrone, aged 52 of Mount Zion, WV, departed this world on June 15, 2024, after a lengthy illness.
She was born on February 14, 1972, in Spencer, WV, a daughter of Kathy Noreene Tanner and Thomas Hickman.
She led a life filled with love from family and so many friends. Donna spent her life in service of others and cared greatly about her people, often organizing benefits for community members in need. She also spent several years active in the VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary and Calhoun County Band Boosters. Donna will be remembered for her firecracker personality, her drive to care for others, and her accepting nature. She was a treasured mother, sister, daughter, and friend.
Donna is survived by her father Thomas Hickman, mother Kathy Tanner, her husband Eliseo Garcia, her sister Angela Powell, and her children Alaska (Grace) Gumbarevic, Nicholas Garcia, Michael Garcia, and Savanna Garcia.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 19th at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Grantsville, WV, at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Tim Davis officiating. Viisitation from 12 to 1 p.m.
At a later date, Donna will be interred at Little Kanawha Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, WV under the name Donna Hickman Garcia. The family wishes to thank everyone for their kind words and support.
