Pawsitively Amazing: Energy Express Donation Drive is a huge success!

Roane County Energy Express sites conducted successful community service projects in their donation drives held at the local Tractor Supply Company and throughout the community for the Roane County Animal Shelter. Thanks to the amazing support from the community, they have collected well over $1,300 worth of food, cleaning supplies, toys, and more for the Roane County Animal Shelter.

The generosity and compassion from the community supporters in this drive will make a tremendous impact on the lives of countless petsawaiting their forever homes.

The AmeriCorps community coordinators and mentors along with the site supervisors appreciate everyone who donated to their drive efforts that went through July 20, with donation boxes at the Spencer City Pool, Tractor Supply Company, Walton Mercantile, Poca Valley Bank in Spencer and Walton, and Geary Elementary Middle School, Spencer Elementary School, and Walton Elementary Middle School.  

Geary Energy Express volunteers Abby Osborne and Evan Cowgar along with AmeriCorps mentor, Katelyn Samples hold donation request signs, while set up at Tractor Supply during the Pet Supplies Drive.

The Energy Express team also expressed gratitude to the Roane County Animal Shelter for permitting their partnership and to Tractor Supply Company for permitting on-site donation collections!
