Brandon Scott Bonilla, 39, of Evans, West Virginia (Previously, Big Bend) passed away unexpectedly on October 15, 2024 in Greensboro, North Carolina.
He was born November 9, 1984 to Geraldine “Dean Dean” Wilson, in Somerset, Kentucky. He was an avid student of The School of Hard Knock Life and graduated with honors.
Brandon worked for Houchin Construction, as a Pipeliner starting as a helper and worked his way up to an Engineer. In 2022 he made the transition and joined Millwright Local 443 as an apprentice and really felt he had found his calling in life.
Brandon was a jack of all trades but master of none. He had a vicarious hunger for knowledge which was only bypassed by his love of a fresh haircut, shoe collection, vintage band tees, bling and fishing.
He lived life boldly and was always down for an adventure. Especially riding his bike recklessly, loud music blaring, through the mountains he called home.
Brandon was preceded in death by his mother Geraldine “Dean, Dean” Gross, and brother Robert Earl Wilson “Jr.” He is survived by his grandmother Judy Bush (Clay City, KY), sister Robin Wilson (Clay City, KY), aunt Gail Strange (Clay City, KY), aunt Char Tipton (Park City, Montana), aunt Lisa Ramos (Anchorage, Alaska), Shonda Bush (Clay City, KY), his chickens, bike, close friends, and his Pipeline/Millwright Brothers.
A celebration of his life was held Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Grantsville, WV, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be 12:30-2:00 p.m. Interment will follow immediately in Big Bend Cemetery.
