Truck Collision at Sav-A-Tool Plant causes multiple Utility Issues – No Injuries

A Calhoun County Department of Highway Mechanics Truck left Route 5, West Little Kanawha Highway in the 1,000 block, striking the Sav-A-Tool Machine shop building, penetrating the western corner of the building with the entire truck. No injuries were reported of the driver or anyone inside.

Water, Electricity and Gas service has been interrupted due to the accident. Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department, Minnie Hamilton Health Systems ambulance, T.C. Towing and Repair Towing and Recovery, Mountaineer Gas, Pleasant Hill PSD, and Mon Power are on or on their way to scene. Sheriff Graham Knight was also on scene investigating.

The accident which occurred shortly before noon, had thee scene cleared at approximately 4:10 p.m.

  1. TC Repair, LLC Towing & Recovery is/ was the towing company called to recovery this truck, it was not Westfalls. If you could please make the correction it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
