Jerry Lee Jones, 59, of Chloe, WV, passed away on January 20, 2025. He was a beloved husband, father, uncle, papaw, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Jerry was born on July 2, 1965, in Grantsville, West Virginia. He was a graduate of Calhoun County High school. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others, but more than anything, Jerry was a devoted father. He loved spending time with his children, sharing stories, and attending all their sporting events. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced. In his free time, Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and spending time with his friends. He was always eager to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with others.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Betty Jones, his children Jerry Jones II, Katie Jones, Makayla Jones, Caden Jones, and Adam Hughes; his grandson Rustyn Grose; his parents Jim and Evelyn McCormick; his brothers Albert Jones, Freddie Jones, Willie Jones, David Jones, Dwayne McCormick, and Doug McCormick; his sisters Irene Fox, Barbara Gray, and Terry Boggs; and special nieces and nephew Felicia Blake, Kayla Morris, and Cody Clark whom he loved like his own children. Also, surviving are many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
He is proceeded in death by his mother Leona Jones. Brothers Robert Bell and Roger Jones. Sisters Betty Parsons, Virginia Parsons, and Nellie Moss.
A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., 1440 Arnoldsburg Rd., Arnoldsburg, WV, on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Richie Proust officiating.
